Low FODMAP BBQ Meatballs

This recipe is the perfect appetizer or finger-food to take to parties and potlucks! I also made this one with the meat-alternative, Beyond Beef Plant-Based Ground. All of the ingredients in this product have not been tested to determine the official FODMAP content. This could be a decent alternative if you are also plant-based.

This recipe was produced from a partnership with Fody Foods, a high quality low FODMAP product company. You can find their products at Sprouts and Whole Foods locations throughout the United States, as well as online where you can save 15% with code ERINFODY15 (affiliate code).

Makes 4-6 servings

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz low FODMAP meatballs of choice (can make with 16 oz ground meat + 2 Tbsp gluten free breadcrumbs, or choose a frozen option)

  • 1 cup Fody Maple BBQ Sauce

  • 3/4 cup strawberry jelly (make sure no high FODMAP ingredients are added)

Directions:

  1. Grab your crockpot or slow cooker and turn it on. Combine BBQ sauce and jelly at the base of the cooker, then add meatballs and mix up.

  2. Cook on high for 2-3 hours! Serve as an appetizer or as a protein with your favorite low FODMAP sides!
